I voted today

Your Vote Score: 32% Republican, 68% Democrat

While you don't always agree with the Democrat party, it's a pretty good match for you.
Do be sure to research each candidate. A liberal Republican or independent candidate might fit you better at times.

I try to stay away from discussing politics, especially on this blog, but I couldn't resist this one. Plus it is my first timely post in ages. Go vote if you haven't already!

My test results came out about as skewed in the other direction (slightly more)....

I also voted this morning.....

My only comment to anyone voting is to become informed and vote from a position of knowledgable opinion. (too many attack ads exist from all parties today that attempt to get people to vote strictly by emotion. They polarize society....and let's face it, very little in life is black and white.)

I think politics has become the "third-rail" of casual conversation because it has been made such an emotional thing...and I believe this has been done on purpose. (to charge people up to "get out the vote".)

But I think this actually backfires not only because it is devisive, but also because this "competition" and/or "fear" actually turns some people off. (and so it cuts down the vote)

My thoughts would be to lessen the "power" of parties. (make it easier to start one, or get rid of them all together...get more open thought/ideas out there)

But here, I'm getting way out past what I wanted to say at this point.....
