Thursday Thirteen #6 - Kindergarten Math

Adam came home with this worksheet for number series and it was harder than I expected for Kindergarten.

Write the next number in each series:
  1. 2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16
  2. 5 10 15 20 25 30
  3. 2 3 4 6 7 8 10 11
  4. 2 2 3 3 4 4 5 5
  5. 1 3 1 4 1 5 1 6 1
  6. 8 7 6 5 4 3 2
  7. 3 2 6 4 9 6 12 8
  8. 1 5 9 13 17 21 25
  9. 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80
  10. 20 18 16 14 12 10 8
  11. 0 1 0 2 0 3 0 4
  12. 6 5 4 3 2 1 6 5 4
  13. 3 6 9 12 9 6 3 6
He only got #3 wrong, where he answered 13, trying to out trick the question. That's my boy! I think #7 (answer is 15) and #13 (answer is 9) are tough ones for kindergarteners.

I couldn't figure out the pattern of #7 until you gave the answer and I'm a college graduate. Guess I'd flunk kindergarten these days, LOL!

LOL, I don't remember doing that at that age.

If they're doing that at K, think of what 4th grade will bring, lol

I hate the harder versions you find in IQ tests, I'm so bad at those. Happy TT.
