Blackberry Q10 Giveaway - Don't Text and Drive!

You've all heard it, texting is by far the most distracting and dangerous activity to do while driving. But because texting is a relatively new technology, you probably haven't been involved in or know of people who have been involved in texting while driving accidents. That doesn't mean that you should wait until it becomes prevalent. The time to take action, or rather inaction, is now. Check out ItCanWait.com and see the stories. This one just breaks my heart.

Nowadays, I have been appending this to my text messages: "Don't reply if you're driving!". Clearly no text is so important to risk your life. Check out these other stats from the Kars4Kids.org.

No story to share but had to mention that I love the Ontario law against cell phone use, including texting, while driving. Just wish it was enforced more!

Luckily no one I know has been hurt by texting and driving. I learned about this campaign the other day and asked my husband if he texts and drives and he said "all the time!". That really shocked me. I thought he knew better than that. I'm going to make him take the pledge.

Name on rafflecopter: Mary Happymommy

It's against the law in my state to text or talk on the phone when driving, but I still see people doing that. I wish everyone would stop doing that

Other than keeping my phone on for emergencies, I never even talk on my phone when driving and wouldn't even consider texting. My teen son, just got his permit and we're teaching him the same. Keep you're phone on for emergencies, but ignore it otherwise. If you need to talk, pull over in a parking lot and never text while behind the wheel.
Thanks so much.

No compelling story. I just want to emphasize that we all share the road. Your actions can certainly affect someone else, you may not know them, but it could change not just you, but your family as well as that person's family.

I have read so many stories about texting and driving and people dying. Although, it seems to happen to a lot of people, teens seem to be at risk the most. I used to text and drive all of the time; now, I call instead.

I really dont have a story, but I get so worried about people texting and driving. Even just being on the phone...I see people crossing lines and not paying attention. I wish everyone would just put their phones down and drive!

I just think it is really sad how many people lost their lives due to texting and driving, at fault or not.

Just last week, I observed a huge dump truck weaving in and out of its lane. I moved to another lane and passed him safely and as I did, I could see his arm on the open window edge, holding his phone and trying to text or punch in a number. It's crazy.
