A ball by any other name...

Awesome ball pit from XKCD.

Adam at his age (6) has become obsessed with how a certain part of his anatomy is hanging in the summertime. He keeps using the term which appears in the title of this post, but Doug insists that he learn the correct anatomical name. For some reason, he can't remember it and instead has come up with this list:
  • Tentacles - obviously the closest sounding word he knows
  • Ramen noodles - somehow related to tentacles
  • Tortellini - maybe because it has 2 T's?
  • Tennis balls - actually this sounds quite close to the real name
  • Grave stones - long story... he also likes to use the word "graveyard" and we try to teach him to say "cemetery" instead, so now that we are correcting a new word, he got grave stones out of the graveyard.
So he laughs hysterically every time he comes up with a new name, but when I dig up this post for him 10 years from now, he'll be dying of embarrassment.
