I know I'm the last person on earth to start reading the Harry Potter books, but I figured it would be good to read them out loud to the kids this summer. Sometimes I end up being hoarse from all the yelling to keep these kids in line. So far here are the antics that I've had to deal with:
- Dova jumps on me
- Adam jumps on me
- Dova jumps on Adam
- Adam jumps on Dova
- Dova jumps off the couch as a sport
- I don't jump while reading
- Adam lightly touches me which tickles to death
- Dova puts a different book on top of Harry Potter and says "Read this one"
- Adam tries to climb between me and the book
- Dova dances around and starts singing LOUDLY
- Adam flaps the bookmark near my face
- Dova and Adam fight over the covers
- Adam blocks my light

Sounds like a real riot. I'm sure the fun is all in the jumping around. Reading is good so keep it up.
Yep, most of these have happened to me! My almost 5 year old is usually pretty good about listening to read-alouds but my 20 month old has decided a really fun game is "yank-the-book-out-of-mommy's-hands-and-run-off-with-it". So now we generally save read-alouds for his nap time, LOL!
LOL...great list:) Happy TT.
What fun! Kids just don't know how to appreciate a good book, lol.
You are not the last person, though, because I haven't read them, and never will. My kids don't read them either, and I doubt any of them want to.
Sounds like... fun? I just saw the new movie today, ALL BY MYSELF!
Happy Thursday, please visit my list!
I have not ready *any* of the Harry Potter books. :( No particular reason, it just has never happened.
So when I went and saw the latest movie this weekend, I had NO IDEA what was going on.
I may have to read the books now!
That and suppress the urge to go the bookstore and read the last page!
LOL
