Photo Hunters - Free

free rice
I wanted to take this opportunity to promote the non-profit site FreeRice.com, which builds your vocabulary in exchange for rice donations to end world hunger (a win-win situation!). I first heard of it on NPR and have been addicted to the game since. It is a great cause and can be really useful for those teenagers preparing for the SATs. Plus it's FREE!

That was fun! I got 900 grains of rice. How much does it take to fill a bowl?

You know, I've seen this on several sites, and haven't tried it yet.
Perhaps today's the day!

Free Rice - great idea for today's theme!
(Makes me want to go to the Chinese Buffet tonight!)

Okay - I took the challenge. I donated 3500 grains of rice by flexing my vocabulary!
I also gave you a shout out for this at It's A Blog Eat Blog World!

I am addicted to that site. Though sometimes I find myself arguing with their definitions--and their spellings!
