Photo Hunters - Shoes

Barbie and Princess shoes

Here is Dova's collection of Barbie and mini-princess shoes (notice Cinderella's clear glass slippers in the middle, as well as her brown peasant shoes on the right). How do we manage to keep all these tiny shoes? Well, in a hermetically sealed bag of course. This mom cannot stand to lose things, so Dova is only allowed one pair to play with at a time. And miraculously, the missing white shoe on the right doesn't really bother me. And I'm not even taking Paxil. The missing black Barble shoe on the left however... I wasn't there when Dova tore open her Barbie gift that arrived by mail. Both she and Adam claim that it only came with one black shoe. Hmm, about as likely as Barbie coming with only one foot.

My favorite shoes are the purple platform sandals, they remind me of my funky orange boots. A quick look through google produced this one, but doesn't have the funky wide heel:

This sandal also reminds me of the stiletto with a tip jar:

Oh my, where were we? It's a slippery slope with those Barbie shoes!

I'm almost 29 but still love my Barbie dolls. They've been packed away since we moved to our condo three years ago, though. When I got back into collecting them before that, my obsession was with the shoes for the newer posable dolls... you know, the ones with the flat and more realistically sized feet? If you ever find a good source for those, could you let me know? LOL

I think they have all left my house. They were a pain to keep up with. Barbie really had some pretty shoes though!

Oh, that's clever... I wish I had thought of that! My daughter has tons and tons of doll shoes (Barbie, Polly Pocket, mini princess, Strawberry Shortcake, the list goes on...) too.

I can't believe that you have so many pairs. I think we would have one of each colour for sure.

Wow, Barbie has some cool shoes! I'm ok with missing shoes but it drives me crazy when my little girl keeps losing her puzzle pieces.

What a clever take on this week's theme! When I was a girl, I think I only had 2 pairs of shoes for my Midge. We were too poor to have an actual Barbie!
