A few years ago, I was creating a
Valentine project for Dova's preschool when I came across a candy heart sticker that said "BFF". "What's BFF?" I asked Doug. He looked at me as if I had grown up on another planet. "Best Friends Forever? Hello?" Apparently, I had missed this one growing up. Coming from an immigrant household, I learned most American culture from school and my friends. And somehow I had never seen a candy heart with BFF on it. Born and raised in the US for forty years and never heard of BFF! And now I use it all the time.
On our apple picking trip this year, Dova brought her BFF along, and they had a grand time together. These two were born three days apart in the same hospital and have been inseparable since toddlerhood.
On the hay ride with bags of cider donuts.
