WW - Time for a New Table

In a passing spring thunderstorm, our table toppled over.  Partly because I always leave the umbrella open.

So this:

Became this:

The glass shards were quite beautiful but a huge mess to clean up.  Thanks Doug!

Better ( and hopefully safer) a thunderstorm than hurled rock which "accidentally" hit the table. I told my kids it's not an accident when you throw something!

Did you do this on purpose? We had a table shatter like that on accident a couple years ago.
Hey, drop by and link up and you are more than welcome to link me to your blog as well, maybe next week. I play every wed too!

It's a good thing it didn't go flying! At least it gives you a reason to go shopping! :-)

What an event! Dif you hear the noise when the table was falling dowan. I am reading the book of "Pilar of the earth" So I imagined that it would sounds like a tumbling down of a medieval cathedral.

We had the same table with the lights and everything only it was rectangle and the SAME THING happened! We just had my stepfather class it up by putting a plywood replacement on it. HA!

Oops sorry about that.

Stopping by on the Wordless Wednesday blog hop and as soon as I saw your post it brought back a flood of memories.

We had that exact table when we first moved into our house. Do we still have that table? NO. Same thing happened here. {only my umbrella was down}

Note to self: Don't buy a table for my back porch with glass in it. LOL

Sorry about your table, but those pictures are incredible.

And, I love that first one too.

Happy WW!

We just bought a similar table at Costco, and I wondered if that could happen. This is why I prefer wooden tables, but they are TRES expensive, at least the ones that won't give you splinters. It was nice meeting you at Bossy's (no)Book Tour. I have now begun embracing twitter because of you. It is still a love/hate thing. Michele aka Midlifemama

Gee, we have a table here like that that was blown over by he storm, but It was lucky enough to be on the grass so no damage.

The weather is now going from regular thunderstorms to crazy heat and humidity......I suppose New England weather will never make me totally happy! :-)
